October Linferno

The Andrew Linham Jazz Orchestra had a great time performing at the Ivy House in Nunhead on Sunday 12th October.

Great #Linferno today!

We even premiered a new tune called ‘Winking Waitress’ which some dastardly audience member videoed for your enjoyment here!

The band is sounding incredible, and there’s more gigs appearing in the diary for next year, so watch this space!

Havering Fun Palace a Roaring Success!

On Saturday 4th October the Queens Theatre foyer was transformed by designer James Watson into the Havering Fun Palace 2014. Over 500 came to visit and took part in a wide range of activities, including the ‘singalongalinham’ with yours truly as the host! It was a fantastic day celebrating community in Havering!

September 2014 Round Up

I’ve had an amazing September this year working with some fantastic musicians, so here’s some of the highlights!

I’m now officially on the roster of Yamaha artists, alongside so many fantastic musicians. Look here!

London City Big Band performed two sell out shows at Ronnie Scotts, reviewed here.

There was even a lovely namecheck in the review;

the band and the audience did not allow Andrew Linham to end his baritone sax solo on
Thad Jones’ ‘Three In One’ until his breathe finally ran out

The Andrew Linham Quartet enjoyed performing as part of the Tollesbury Arts Festival with their performance ably augmented by Tracey Mendham on tenor saxophone.

MIMIKA Mak Murtic Ensemble have enjoyed a busy summer performing at lots of festivals across England and in September performed slightly closer to home in a fantastic celebration of world music and free improvisation in East London.

Andrew has also enjoyed some great performances with madman and frontman Spencer Kennedy, who is basically a pop star.
